IMG_20200810_152938_029
As Believers and in our walk with Christ, we tend to come across a whole lot of Challenges/Difficulties in our devoted quest to please Our Maker, God; but as we keep on pursuing Him, we stand the chance of Victory in all Our Endeavors. All Perfect Gifts/Talents and Blessings comes from Him. He makes all things Beautiful when the time is due and in His own time. Today on Exclusives With SammytheAuthor, I present to You, a Great Vibrant Vocalist and a Music Producer, Ms. Sarah Nathalie as she shares with us, her story. Enjoy Reading!
1: Tell Us A Bit About Yourself. Who Is Ms. Sarah Nathalie?
Hello! My name is Sarah! My ethnicity is Dominican but I reside and was born in the United States of America. I am only 20 years old, so the furthest I’ve gotten in education is an AA degree. And as for career, I am just following in whatever direction the Lord leads me. For now, I have been focusing full time on creating music for the Kingdom!
2: What Is The Story Behind Your Personality?
I grew up with two wonderful, Jesus-loving parents and a beautiful sister. Like many other families, we passed through many trials that shaped us into the strong, God-fearing family we are today. Personally, my fight has been more internal with my emotions, as well as battling the flesh. I never really had a history with clubs or drinking or drugs. Glory be to God that he has kept me. But hardships are unavoidable- you don’t have to go out of your way to encounter them. One thing I was able to learn and see for myself throughout the years though, was that without process there is no growth. You are not able to see your test grades, till you take the test! So I am thankful to God for always being by my side through it all and continuing to be faithful to both me and my family.
3: At What Age Did You Notice that You Could Sing?
I noticed I LOVED to sing ever since I could talk and hold decent conversations. I’d say perhaps around the age of 5 is when I first remember singing non-stop at home.
4: As A Music Producer, What Are Some of The Necessary Things To Know Before Starting Out?
Not just as a music producer, but in anything you feel led to do by the Spirit, I think it’s important to just do it. Start. It doesn’t matter if you’re good, if you have the necessary and expensive equipment. God sees the quality of your heart, not the quality of your beats. Of course, you will learn with time and it’s important to do things with excellence for the Lord. However, that takes time and practice. I am still learning so much.
5: How Many Albums/Eps Do You Have So far?
Currently, I have 1 Album, 3 EPs, 6 singles and a few collabs you can find under the “Appears On” section on Spotify and Apple Music! You can also find many low-key tracks on Soundcloud- which is where I began this journey!
IMG_20200810_152940_571
6: In Your Own Words, How Would You define Failure?
Failure to me, is failing the Lord. Failing to love and serve Jesus the way he deserves to be loved and served is ultimate failure to me. Not accomplishing or taking care of the things he has entrusted to me as well.

The Movie Industry Does Not Breed Alot of Filmmakers Who Are Willing to Take the Bold Risk of Standing Out. – CEO & Founder of Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF) Shares In An Interview With SammytheAuthor.

1: For the Benefit of those who might not know You, Who is Mr. Evan Eghan?
I’m an Actor who doubles as a Director/Producer and a Writer. I holistically, call myself a “filmtrepreneur” as in film entrepreneur and this is because I try my possible best to span wide my creative capacity as far as filmmaking is concern. I have only been in the film business for about four years now. However, my career experience spans beyond Ghana to another African countries as well as Europe. My acting projects include but not limited to the following; “Divine 419 – Hawkers’ Hustle” (2019) directed by Johannes Krug from Germany, “Stalemate” TV series (2015-2017), “If God Be For Us” (2016) all directed by Pascal Amanfo and produced by Venus Films, “No Man’s Land” (2016) also directed by Pascal Amanfo. “Hooked” (2016) directed by Chima Okoroji from Nigeria, ISIDORE (2018) directed by Nuhu Dalyop also from Nigeria, Samai (2017) directed by Eddie Nartey. On top of my screen acting reel, I have numerous credit for theatre performances as an actor. These credits also include but not limited to the following “Blood and Tears”, “The Trial of Dedan Kimathi”, “The Legend of Aku Sika”, “Fences”, “Perpetua and the Habit of Unhappiness”, and more.

2: Tell us more about Yourself. I mean what’s Your Story? (Family, Education e.t.c)
I lived with my grandparents in a village around Mankessim called Ayeldu and that is where I had my primary education till I was in primary 3 when I moved to stay with my dad in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region. I moved back to the village to my grandparents from when I was in JSS1 till I completed JSS in 2007 at St. Augustine Catholic Junior Secondary School. Afterwards, I had a scholarship to study General Arts with specialty in Literature at Aburaman Senior High School in 2007 till 2011 also in the Central Region. In between this period I was living both in the Central and the Western Region with my elder brothers. In 2012, I won the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship to study Theatre Arts and Information Studies in the University of Ghana which I completed with a first class in 2016. I did my national service as teaching assistant at the School of Performing Arts assisting the teaching of courses including; Fundamentals of Radio, Film and Television Production, Research Methodology, Media and Society, and African Film and Cinema. So I moved to Accra basically for my university education but I now permanently reside here.

During the period of my national service, I again won a scholarship to do my Masters. However, I had to decline that and discover myself in the world of creative business and to solve practical problems rather than being in the academia. But we will go back to the academia pretty soon after we have gathered enough experience to share and inspire.

3: As the Founder & CEO, what was the Inspiration behind Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF)? Give us an Overview?
I practically realized that, there was a gap in the film industry considering the ground for growth as filmmakers. Elsewhere, there are enough available avenues that kind of help the growing filmmaker to really understand and appreciate the process of growth or realize that whichever level that they are in as filmmakers is part of the growth. Unfortunately here in Ghana, one is practically considered as a filmmaker when he/she makes a feature film and premieres at the cinemas. So Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF) is practically created as the avenue to celebrate the growing filmmakers who are practically using short film productions as the learning ground and creating amazing films that the regular film lover does not have the opportunity to see. Again, AiF stays as the ground for healthy creative collaborations and knowledge exchange among the local and international filmmakers who have the opportunity to be part of this internationally ground-breaking short film festival.

4: What are some of the Challenges You face or still facing as an Actor?
The major challenge is basically lack of opportunities. The industry does not breed a lot of filmmakers who are willing to take the bold risk of standing out as well as searching for other alternatives of storytelling or film marketing. Unfortunately, the already existing distribution channels or systems do not favor so much of the trending filmmakers. So the reality is that, some new filmmakers find it exciting and get into film producing and after one or two films, they are unable to come back to make the films. So if you are a daring actor like myself that is looking for some sort of “extraordinary” films to be starred in, then you are likely never to act. And the regular actor who is even willing to jump on anything, the opportunities are still limited. Because, literally actors are the last to be considered in the process of filmmaking, so if the initial process of production is not commissioned at all, then it does not even get to the casting stage for an actor to get the opportunity to act because almost everybody is scared to make a film for the fear of losing money.

5: What would you suggest Actors or producers/directors do to help lift or give the Movie Industry a facelift?

My Childhood Was Covered With Domestic Abuse And Violence. Art was an Escape For Me- Mr. Chris Mukasa, C.E.O/Founder of Fatumas Voice Shares In An Interview.

Chris 1

Your Dreams are possible, regardless of where and how You were born; You are here, what impact are you gonna make to better your life and the lives of others. Today on Exclusives with SammytheAuthor, an Inspiring Kenyan Entrepreneur shares with us, his life story and career as an Entrepreneur and CEO/Founder of Fatumas Voice Kenya. Checkout the Interview Below!

1: Who’s Mr. Chris Mukasa?

Besides being known as the Founder of Fatuma’s Voice, I am a dynamic person who loves exploring. Although I am inquisitive and outgoing, I also value intentional solitude.

2: What’s the Story behind Your Passion to do what you do??

Just like many of my peers, the background of my childhood was covered with domestic abuse and violence. Art was an escape for me but I soon found solutions within it. This inspired me to work with like-minded creatives and start Fatuma’s Voice, which is slowly transforming into an African community movement . Our goal is to encourage creative expression and drive for social change.

3: Wow!!Awesome…You sailed through regardless..Being the CEO/Founder for Fatumas Voice, what are some of the Impacts you have made so far with your Initiative?Anything Sharable?

chris 2

Since we begun in July 2013, we have been using simple and creative avenues like; open debates, political art, conscious music, expressive dance and social-issue based theatre, to creatively reaffirm people about the significance of their voice. We have grown from a small weekly event in Nairobi into a themed and structured forum independently coordinated by the local youth in three different counties; that is Nakuru, Mombasa and Kisumu.

By 10th December 2016, we had held 142 youth forums where we hosted 1,420 artistic performers and attracted a live audience of 15,000 participants and over 500,000 online participators. Our goal is to replicate it to each and every African country. Besides focusing on the number of participants engaged, we also keep track on attitude change and level of participation. We involve the community in the process of defining the social metrics and indicators they expect to see. People are interviewed before and after the forums and the feedback compiled in testimonials and case studies.

We have seen an improved understanding about social issues within communities we have worked with. We have experiences people changing their attitudes towards political accountability by realizing that their personal action or inaction is connected to the political space. We have witnessed an increased sense of ownership and responsibility in the process of creating social change. Fatuma’s Voice now seeks to increase impact by replicating the forum in other African countries. Our first event out of the country was all the way in West Africa, in Ghana. The forum was called Youth Uniting Africa and it happened in July 2019.

4: Powerful!!! Any challenges faced so far?

Systematic manipulation through social institutions like Education, Politics, and Mass media, is used to maintain status quo. Individuals grow up thinking social action is blocked by government policies, which disconnects the community on the ground from the government leaders. People lose trust and develop a culture of self-imposed silence. Our biggest challenge is to address this issue by creating awareness and helping people break out of a restricted system that doesn’t allow critical thinking.

caroline 3

Caroline Esinam Adzogble is a profound Entrepreneur, Educationist, Business Coach, Diversity maverick, an advocate for women and girls in technology and the founder of IAES Africa, Potters International College, Admission in 30 Minutes, Everyday Travels and Tours, Caroline Technology Solutions, President of Caroline University and the Mercy Heart Foundation.
Madam Caroline recently revealed some shocking challenges she faced on her Journey to be Successful. I pray and hope this Story inspires/motivates You. Regardless of the Problems/Challenges you encounter on your path, make sure you don’t quit. Remember, “So long as there’s Life, There’s Hope”. You will Succeed if You Dont Quit.
This is what she posted on her Instagram Page.
“My crime in 2019 was that I surrounded myself with people who didn’t want me to be who God says I needed to be. I met my previous chef the other day and he told me ‘Caroline I happened to be in a meeting where they plotted, I knew everything that was going to happen, I didn’t tell you about it because I wanted you to go through it’ then I asked him *who’s call was it to decide what I had to go through* This was because I was a happy little girl😂. I nearly gave up on everything. I nearly killed myself but anytime I tried someone walked in on me. I survived food poisoning. I escaped car chases. I have overstepped all the traps set for me. But the Gag is, God showed up and showed out as always. I cannot actually count my blessings. Maybe I should produce a documentary about my 2019. This is to say I MADE IT. I SURVIVED IT. I actually still can’t believe that I did. I look into the future with a lot of hope. God is good. Help me thank him. Trust me when I say We aren’t ready for 2020.”
